Houston Swimming Academy - Coaching Staff
Coach Eduardo Attended Louisiana State University where he was a member of the Swimming and Dive NCAA Division 1 team. Specialized in 100/200 Butterfly and Individual Medley. Texas Age Group Winner. Nationals Selection and Pan Pacs Qualifier. Coach Eduardo is fluent in Spanish.

Coach Savannah started swimming at the age of 6 and became a member of City of Plano Swim Club at 10 years old. She was a Texas Age Group swimmer and swam in state and regional competitions. Savannah also worked for the city of Plano as a Swim instructor/lifeguard for 9 years. After graduation for Texas Woman's University, Savannah relocated to Houston and became Head Swim Coach/ co creator for YMCA of Greater Houston for 3 yeas then work as the Aquatic program Coordinator for The Houstonian 2 years.

Coach Randy ASCA Level I & II Certified. Graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of the water polo team. Upon graduating with a BS in Economics and BBA in Business, Randy went to Spain to complete his MBA. Coach Randy continued to play water polo overseas in Europe (Spain) and Asia (China) until returning back to Houston in 2011. Coach Randy is fluent in Spanish, conversational Mandarin, and Arabic.

Coach Jensen was awarded a co-recipient of the Most Improved award by his teammates after returning from a shoulder injury his sophomore year at Texas A&M. He scored 28 points at the Big 12 Championship meet with a sixth place finish in the 1,650 yard freestyle (15:52.28), a ninth place finish in the 500 yard freestyle (4:33.83) and an 11th place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.91)...all were season bests for Ried. Ranked second on the team in the 1,000-yard freestyle and third in the 1,650 freestyle.

Coach Shana is originally from Dallas and has been a lifeguard for 4 years and Lifeguard Instructor for 2 years. She has taught over 20 certification/re-certification courses. She has certifications in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, Administering Oxygen, Blood-borne Pathogens, Water-park, and Lifeguard Instructor though American Red Cross. She is currently attending the University of Texas- Health and Science Center School of Nursing. Coach Shana is fluent in Spanish.
